Continuous & 24 Hour Prayer

Run an Upper Room for Thy Kingdom Come

"When they had entered the city, they went upstairs to the upper room where they were staying […] All these with one mind and one purpose were continually devoting themselves to prayer, [waiting together] along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers." - Acts 1:13-14

We want to invite you and your community to run your own Upper Room Prayer Room, just as the disciples did!

Your Upper Room could run for the full 11 days of Thy Kingdom Come, or you could try the challenge of running 24 hours of prayer non-stop with your friends or small group!

1. DECIDE ON A VIRTUAL OR PHYSICAL SPACE

Particularly since 2020 people have run Virtual Prayer Rooms and Physical Prayer Rooms in different parts of the world- some people have even run both alongside one another!

Content from the TKC Map AR App

Here you will be able to view and download the vast majority of the content from the TKC Map AR App that accompanies our 2020 Prayer Adventure Map.

The activities for days 1 and 9 are two games where the user controls a little person who has to run around an augmented reality map and collect lost sheep for day 1, and lost coins for day 9. These games are specially built to be augmented reality, and so can't be accessed in a different way.

Making more of the Videos: Subtitles, Transcripts and Translations

The videos produced by Thy Kingdom Come can be used as resources by Churches, prayer groups, families, schools and more. In a few quick steps you can find extra content including subtitles, transcripts and translations.

Transcripts

If you would like a full written transcript of a video, this is often available through the YouTube menu. These can be used in worship materials, prayer cards, service sheets and resources for study groups.

You can use transcripts as a translation separate to the subtitles: for example, in a Canadian church there could be video subtitles in English for hard of hearing people and a also translation into French printed on paper (or vice versa).
