TKC 2025 Overview Image of Gatherings around the world

Last Sunday (Pentecost Sunday 8th June), marked the end of the 10th annual Thy Kingdom Come global wave of prayer- uniting hundreds of thousands of Christians in prayer for more people to know God’s love.

It has been incredible to see what has taken place – with churches involved in different parts of the world and from across different denominations.

In England, many dioceses hosted prayer gatherings, organised pilgrimages and much more including Sheffield diocese (hosted several Cathedral events including nostalgia laden ‘Back to Bangers’ & a time of continuous prayer with partner dioceses in other parts of the world); Portsmouth diocese (7 pilgrimages in 7 days) ; Exeter diocese (A Beacon event for Pentecost Sunday and Canterbury Diocese (hosting several prayer events including a youth digital detox beacon event with Bishop Rose Hudson Wilkin) to name a few.

Ecumenically, it was amazing to witness the many citywide gatherings organised bringing together churches from different denominations– including Nottingham (1,000 people attending their annual TKC beacon event), Brighton, Chester, Swindon and Eastbourne (hundreds of people joining in a time of outdoor prayer & worship with baptisms in the sea).

Internationally, there was involvement from many nations including Canada (daily video reflections from the Primate of Canada),  Korea (prayer gatherings & endorsement from the Primate of Korea), churches in America (hosting prayer gatherings and daily video reflections), prayer gatherings in Bangladesh, Australia and South Africa; daily video devotional in Portuguese from the Bishop of South West Brazil, and national take up of TKC in Netherlands and involvement from many other countries.

Already we are receiving wonderful testimonies regarding the impact of TKC - including a woman giving her life to Christ at the Exeter Cathedral Beacon event ‘ I want to be part of God’s family’.

We give thanks to God for all He has done this year and will continue to do.
