My Name is Paul Kwong, I am the Archbishop and Primate of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui, the Anglican Church of Hong Kong.
On my right you can see all these high-rise buildings of the financial and commercial center of Hong Kong.
To my left is St. John’s Cathedral which is located right at the heart of this vibrant city.
Hong Kong is being commonly called as the “Pearl of the Orient.”
I thank the Lord that the Anglican Church has been His witness and servant in this famous city along with southern coastal mainland China for almost two centuries.
Up to now we have established 53 parishes and mission churches in various locations of the city area and new towns as well as our neighboring city, Macau.
With the opportunities that have been given to us we need to pray earnestly and fervently for God’s guidance and strength, for His Kingdom to come, and His will be done here in Hong Kong, Macau, and other parts of the world.
That is why I’m so excited to welcome this forthcoming movement: Thy Kingdom Come.
Almighty and Every-living God, thank you so much for all your blessings for our lives.
We Praise you for your creation, preservation, for the rich cultural heritage, especially for the five thousand years of culture among the Chinese people.
We thank you for all kinds of spiritual blessings you have bestowed upon us.
You have chosen us in Christ before the creation of the world and destined us for adoption as your children.
In Christ we have the forgiveness of sins, an inheritance in your Kingdom, the seal of your Spirit, and in Him we live for the praise of your glory.
We also thank you that in Christ you are reconciling the world to yourself.
So help us to proclaim the good news of your love and salvation that all who receive it may be reconciled to you through Christ as He died for us on the cross, rose from the dead, and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever, Thy Kingdom Come,
